November 30, 2011

The directors of the Senior Play (Amber Cleveland and Violet Sparacio) send today’s auditionees the following message: “Dear theater students, I know you’re going to mad to hear this but… Call backs will be up A.S.A.P after early morning make-up auditions tomorrow. We love you and we are working hard to get this done…sleep well. <3"

Patrons: Reserve Your Seats for King Lear Online Cast: Final Rehearsal Schedule

November 6, 2011

Buy Tickets to King Lear Online

Online tickets are now on sale for Hanover High School’s Christmas themed production of William Shakespeare’s King Lear.   Performances run November 17, 18, and 19 at 7 p.m., with a 2 p.m. matinee performance on Saturday, November 19.  Tickets are $5 and may be purchased at the box office 30 minutes prior to performances or may be reserved online by clicking on the SeatYourself icon in the upper right hand corner of this website’s homepage.

Our production will be performed by candlelight in keeping with the play’s early candlelit performance at White Hall for King James on St. Stephan’s night in the Christmas Holidays and will feature a specially configured thrust stage designed for optimum intimacy, enjoyment, and engagement with what has famously been called Shakespeare’s Everest.  Due to limited seating, patrons are encouraged to purchase tickets online in advance.  Performances include several scenes of violence that may not be appropriate for small children.

An eclectic mix of fairy tale, Christmas carols, and treachery, King Lear is Shakespeare’s dark and witty stab at telling Cinderella’s story.
