An Evening of International Theatre

May 13, 2011

With a wide range of short, very short, and very very short plays from the traditions of Brazilian Newspaper Theatre, Chinese Cross-Talk, Polish Puppetry, French Absurdism, Iraqi-American Documentary Theatre, Italian Commedia dell’ Arte, and many more, the Evening of International Theatre promises to be both entertaining and enlightening.

Information for students & parents:

All of the theatre arts students will be taking part in An Evening of International Theatre on Thursday, May 19.  (Students who have spoken to me about conflicts will complete an alternative assignment.)  Performances will begin at 7 p.m., but performers should arrive no later than 6 p.m. to make pre-show preparations.  Optional dress and technical rehearsals will be held after school on Wednesday from 3:30-6:30.  Students wanting more time to prepare their performances will also have an opportunity for dress and technical rehearsals after school on Thursday from 3:30-6:00.  Again, these additional rehearsals are optional.

Family, friends, and the general public are encouraged to attend.  Admission is free.  Please e-mail me at dhefko@hcps.us if you have any questions or concerns.
